Job Title:  Revenue Accountant

Marvell Semiconductor Inc. is seeking a hands-on Revenue Accountant to provide accounting and financial support to the Revenue group.  The successful candidate will be involved in the on-going building and improving of the revenue accounting processes.  He/she should be able to demonstrate the ability to work on and prioritize month end tasks, to meet various goals and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to details.  In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn/understand revenue operations, communicate effectively, and be team oriented. 

Responsibilities:

 

·        Familiarity/understanding of new revenue recognition guidance ACS 606

·        Partner with Sales Operation and Logistics on quote to cash processes, and engage with customers specific to accounts receivable transactions  

·        Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting of revenue related transactions.

·        Perform monthly financial close related tasks such as preparing journal entries, reconcile revenue related accounts, analytics and reporting requirements

·        Ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, internal controls and perform assigned tasks consistently following such process.

·        Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements on quote to cash processes.

·        Ability to proactively partner with cross functional teams (Finance, Sales, Legal, Product Management and Operations).

·        Must be proactive and able to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

·        Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

·        Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

·        Must have at least 6 years of revenue experience;
