The Software Manager will be responsible for leading the design and development and release of software for the Nitrox line of products. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a group of engineers who are working in the Nitrox product family.
  • Managing and coordinating software design, development, and execution of the various aspects of the software.
  • Work with Marketing and customers to identify features/issues and provide direction to the team, based on prioritization
  • Coordinate with other cross-functional teams to help in scheduling of the software releases.
  • Guide and mentor the testing team for maintaining, improving and implementing stringent software strategies. 
  • Technical leadership with the ability to guide people in all aspects of software development
  • Experience as a Software Manager, leading teams and products in a similar domain.
  • Experience with security protocols such as SSL/TLS/RSA/IPSec other security devices used to offload such protocols, is high desired.
  • Experience writing device drivers or low level software is highly desired
  • Strong C/C++ knowledge is a required skill.
  • Good understanding of Linux and other embedded operating systems is needed.
  • Must have worked with hardware devices, especially PCI based adapters.
Preferred/Plus:
  • Any experience on security protocols and algorithms is good to have.
  • Virtualization Experience is a great plus to have.
  • Compression Algorithms experience would be a desirable skill to have.

Education:
  • BS +15 years of related experience or MS +12 yrs experience of related experience; degree discipline to be in: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of Management Experience, managing teams of sizes > 5
  • 5+ years of relevant technical experience in this field
