Infrastructure Manager

Marvell Technology is seeking IT Infrastructure Manager who will be responsible for coordinating the workload of the IT Infrastructure team and ensuring the IT department is able to meet its commitments effectively and efficiently. Candidate must possess the ability to effectively manage project and operational tasks across a wide range of areas, including engineering system & storage support, networking, and system administration while maintaining consistent and quality communication both within the team and business stakeholders. 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Should have managed the direct reports at least 10+ members. 
  • Work with management to ensure that projects are prioritized and staffing assignments are approved and allocated across these priorities in a consistent manner.
  • Assist in technical feasibility studies, implementation approach, deployment strategies, and QA efforts.
  • Develop, maintain and effectively execute project plans throughout the life of assigned project(s) which defines activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration and associated resource requirements.
  • Follow established PM methodology guidelines in order to manage entire project life cycle.
  • Facilitate regular standup meetings with the various project teams, ensuring good information sharing and communication exists within each team.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for reporting status of project and explaining any variances.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
  • Strong understanding of UNIX/Linux operating systems
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a technical lead, solutions architect, or technical manager in High performance computing, Storage, network & Compute infrastructure.
  • Experience in project planning and management in highly virtualized and dynamic environments preferred.
  • Experience with MS Project, Visio, MS Office, and other common business and project management software platforms.
  • Strong understanding of development and project management processes and methodologies including common roles, responsibilities, and key deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced business environment.
  • Able to treat confidential information in a discrete and appropriate manner.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings. This includes occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays as well a potential travel to industry events.
