  • Manage staff on daily collections follow-up of due and past due receivables.
  • Conduct, review, and approve new and existing credit investigations using ratio analysis and credit bureau reports.
  • Oversee relationships between Sales Operations, Sales, and AR personnel to ensure credit memos are issued in a timely manner.
  • Monitor credit risk using Dun & Bradstreet and Credit Risk Monitor.
  • Work with Treasury to establish cash collection goals.
  • Calculate the bad debt reserve on a quarterly basis and submit for approval.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly management reports to measure departmental performance against established benchmarks and metrics.
  • Coordinate with customers, Sales, and Sales Operations, to support of the order release process.
  • Assist the Director in completing month-end / quarter-end close processes.
  • Establish team goals and conduct regular performance reviews for staff.
  • Manage SOX / Auditor compliance requests.
  • Lead, mentor, train and develop Credit & Collection staff.
  • Bachelor degree with 10+ years of Credit & Collection experience.
  • Ability to analyze/interpret credit and financial data and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to effectively organize, facilitate, and monitor work activities for direct reports.
  • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and deduction management procedures involving distributors.
  • Familiarity with global VAT/GST tax regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, customer service, and time management skills.
  • Creative thinking with initiative and self-motivation.
  • Attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to appropriately communicate with all levels of internal and customer management.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment.
