Senior Staff Server Firmware/DDR Lead/Architect

Marvell’s Server Processor BU is revolutionizing the computer server industry with next generation 64-bit ARMv8 ThunderX series Server Processor SoCs for data center, cloud and high-performance computing (HPC) applications.

We are looking for a senior firmware engineering lead/architect with extensive experience in DDR/DRAM, NVDIMM (NVDIMM SW & HW, NVDIMM-P) Firmware. You will be responsible for all aspects of DDR/DRAM bring-up, development and debugging on ARM64 based server platforms.








Minimum Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 15+ years of firmware architecture, design, development and validation experience preferably in the Server Industry. MS is preferred.
• 5+ years of deep hands-on firmware development experience with memory controllers including multiple DDR/DRAM, NVDIMM and high-performance server memory areas.
• Hands on experience in analyzing memory related specifications, datasheets / schematics, and developing firmware and test software.
• Hardware-firmware co-design and board bring-up experience with SoCs and/or Customer Reference Platforms.
• Proven record of meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Use of JTAG, hardware debuggers, PCIe and other protocol analyzers and developing test applications.


Additional Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in the following areas would be a plus:
• ARM64 SOC firmware development experience.
• Strong embedded / server firmware development experience.
• Passion to learn and work on next generation technologies.
• Use of GIT, Jira, Microsoft Office, cross platform development Experience on Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
• Experience in working with cross functional teams and large customers across the globe in different time zones.
• Great analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented and able to articulate and present to cross functional teams, executive management and customers.
• Platform firmware/UEFI BIOS development experience in C, OS and Kernel debugging skills.
